Influence of grinding wheel size on adhesion rate.

The selected four grinding wheels of white corundum, hardness K and particle size 36, 46, 60 et 80 respectively were used for cylindrical longitudinal grinding of the specimen. The grinding length was 600mm and the adhesion rate was detected. The finer the grinding wheel, the more serious the adhesion. toutefois, the finer the grinding wheel is, the smaller the cavity will be. The grinding wheel will soon lose the chip space, causing blockage.

Effect of hardness of grinding wheel on adhesion rate.

The grinding wheels of white corundum with particle size 46 and hardness of H, J, K and L were selected to grind the specimens. The grinding stroke was 600mm and the adhesion rate was tested. The higher the hardness of the grinding wheel, the more serious the adhesion. This is because of the low hardness of the grinding wheel, grinding particles in the grinding force, easy to fall off from the surface of the grinding wheel, forming a new chip space, not easy to plug.

The influence of abrasive on the adhesion rate.

There are two kinds of common grinding wheel abrasives: white corundum and green silicon carbide. The experiment shows that the two kinds of abrasives have little difference on the adhesion rate.

Effect of grinding fluid on surface roughness.

Three kinds of emulsions, inorganic salt grinding fluid and oil-based grinding fluid were used respectively. Sulfur, chlorine and other extreme pressure additives were added to observe the surface roughness of the workpiece after processing. 4) GC wheel can improve grinding efficiency when grinding stainless steel.

5) grinding fluid selection must take into account both lubrication and cleaning, sufficient supply, can choose small surface tension, emulsion containing extreme pressure additives, can get high surface quality.

6) the selection of grinding amount can be determined according to the machining allowance.

7) during the experiment, it was found that the structure of the grinding wheel and the bonding agent had a certain impact on the grinding process of stainless steel. Currently, it is limited by the experimental means, which needs to be further studied.
